Replacing brake pads

15.03.2010

I replaced my discs last year, but not the pads, they were pretty worn so finally I had the time to get some new ones in.

old pads

It's a very easy task, just jack it up, take of the wheel, then remove 2 19mm bolt on the inside of the caliper

Now just take the whole caliper off the disc, you may need to use some force on it.

Take off the old pads, they should come off pretty easy.

Insert the the pads, then use a suitable tool to push the caliper piston far enough in to get it back on the disc, this may spill some brake fluid from the tank..

Now just put it back on and tighten the 2 bolts, rinse and repeat for the other side.
